The Fastest Way to Reach Us

Email is the best and only reliable way to reach the team: [email protected]. I check it far more often than any social inbox, and unlike a comment section, it doesn't get buried. I try to reply within two to four business days, sometimes sooner if I'm not mid-flight or mid-notebook on a new trip.

What Kinds of Messages Are Welcome

Truly — send it. Here's what regularly comes through, and what I'm always happy to receive:

• Questions about a destination or itinerary — if something in a guide is unclear, or you want a detail that didn't make the final draft (it happens, notebooks are messy), ask.
• Corrections — prices change, borders reopen, restaurants close. If something's outdated or flat-out wrong, tell me. I'd rather fix it than let it sit.
• Content suggestions — destinations you want covered, packing questions you can't find answers to, road trip routes you think deserve a real writeup.
• Technical issues — broken links, slow pages, anything acting weird on mobile. Screenshots help enormously.
• Collaborations and press — brands, tourism boards, and fellow writers interested in working together should start with the Collaboration page, which lays out exactly what I'm open to and how partnerships are handled here.
• Community and comment questions — if something about how discussions are moderated on the site is unclear, the Community Guidelines cover the ground rules.

Tips for a Quicker, Better Reply

I answer every email, but a few small things make it much faster on both ends:

• Name the exact page. A link or the article title beats "the Portugal one" — I've written more Portugal content than I'd like to admit.
• Be specific about what changed. For corrections, tell me what's outdated and, if you have it, what the current info actually is.
• One topic per email where possible. If you've got a correction and a pitch, that's fine, just say so clearly rather than burying one inside the other.
• Skip the mystery subject line. "Correction: Lisbon tram prices" gets opened faster than "Hey!"
• For collaborations, a short note on who you are and what you're proposing goes a long way — no need for a full press kit up front.

Everything on this site — packing advice, itineraries, food recommendations, road trip routes — comes from real trips and real notebooks, but travel is inherently unpredictable. Borders change, advisories shift, weather turns, and what worked for me on one trip won't be identical for you on the next. Please treat the content here as a starting point and a companion, not a substitute for official travel advisories, your doctor's advice before a trip, or your own good judgment on the ground. If you ever spot something in an article that seems like it could affect someone's safety — an outdated warning, a closed route, questionable food safety info — please flag it by email right away. What Not to Expect

A few honest boundaries, so nobody's disappointed: I don't offer personal travel-planning or booking services, and I can't guarantee a response time on weekends or while I'm actually traveling (which, fair warning, is often). Sponsored content and affiliate links are always disclosed — you can read the specifics on the Disclosure page — and I don't accept payment in exchange for a positive review. If a destination or product wasn't good, the notebook says so.
